iCleanse

iCleanse is the sole manufacturer of a wide range of disinfection devices for touchless disinfection. After the initial outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the US government approved the CARES act. At this time, iCleanse decided to diversify its product line to accomodate the needs of every citizen and company.

Therefore, ABCloudz assisted iCleanse in creating an application that allows tracking and recording disinfection of the smart devices used by the medical personnel according to the compliance policy.

The challenge

According to the US CARES Act, every tablet and smartphone used by the medical personnel should be desinfected every 2 hours. The records of disinfection should be saved and readily available for the management staff. That is why our client, a well-known producer of disinfection devices, asked ABCloudz team to develop Android and iOS apps supported by a cloud-based back-end to track and record disinfection of smart devices according to the facilities’ compliance policies.

Benefits

Our team used some of our premade app templates to considerably boost the development speed (e.g. monolith back-end architecture template). We also benefited from this project by updating these templates with new elements.

The solution

Our team created two apps, for Android and iOS. These apps allowed users to register devices in the database to keep track of them. Devices were equipped with NFC tags that would register that a tablet has been in the proximity of a disinfection station. Additionally, it was possible to scan a QR code to update the status of the device.

The list of users that could register to use the app included nurses, admins, and disinfection officers. Each group of users had their own set of permissions and restrictions. All the data is securely stored within the Amazon S3 cloud to avoid any unauthorized access with encription features and access management tools. Amazon S3 was picked because it is compliant with PCI-DSS, HIPPA/HITECH, FedRAMP, EU Data Protection Directive, and FISMA regulatory requirements.

We also created an admin panel for mobile and web versions of an app. It had a variety of functions such as the ability to create schedules as well as add and update the list of devices.

End result

The client received both Android and iOS applications and was highly satisfied with an end result.
